Doctor Who S7 E8
The Doctor takes Clara Oswald to an alien...area (not a planet) called the Rings of Akhaten! There is a bustling market of alien life where currency is sentimental items. Clara meets a young girl, Merry Gejelh, who's running away from some other people and trying to hide. Clara follows her and finds out she's the Queen of Years, chosen to be the next lifelong singer of the neverending lullaby to keep the old god from waking. But the whole practice is super sinister, there's a vampire, the neverending song ends and the guy singing it teleports away to safety. The old god wakes and demands memories, knowledge, stories and the like. The Doctor gives it all his memories and stories and knowledge, but it's not enough until Clara presents the leaf that caused her mother and father meet and describes it as the most important leaf in human history.

Doctor Who was suggested for me to watch & react to by a friend. It is another sciencey show that I have never watched before. Oh look I haven't updated the description since season 2 and now we're on season 7! Lovin' it! Exciting first episode. Been 4 months since season 6 ended...sorry. Computer died, depression, existential crisis, business & new laptop/Windows 11 BS... but here we are!
