Doctor Who S8 Time Heist

The Doctor and Clara wake up in a room with two other people, unable to remember how they got there. As it turns out Someone known as the Architect has employed them to Break into the Universe's most secure bank.
The Doctor is trying to plan out an adventure with Clara but she's getting ready to go on a date and wearing heels. She's going to be late for a shelf. Suddenly the TARDIS phone rings and Clara seems relieved that The Doctor has a new playmate then tells him not to answer it or a THING will happen. The Doctor tells her nothing happens when you answer the phone and suddenly they wake up in a room with 2 other random people and everyone's memory wiped while a recording plays from someone called The Architect instructing the group to rob the bank of Karabraxos. So they make their plans, follow the instructions, have some bickering tats while The Doctor takes charge and they successfully break in. There's a creature called the Teller that the bank uses as security to telepathically search people's thoughts for guilt and then turn their brain to soup. The heist crew obtain an exit strategy item, which they think kills them but it's actually a teleporter. Saibra uses it first when the Teller locks onto her thoughts. Psi uses again after attracting the Teller to his own thoughts to save Clara. Clara and The Doctor get caught and the guards are told to incinerate them. The guards are actually Saibra and Psi in disguise and free them then they head to the private vault of Karabraxos herself. The solar storm gets worse, Karabraxos escapes after The Doctor gives her his number because he's piecing together that HE is the Architect and this is a time travel heist because the person planning it would have to know the future. The Teller gives The Doctor back his memory and unlocks the vault containing its mate, which was the entire reason they came - to rescue the last of the species. Karabraxos called him in the beginning from her death bed with regrets.

Doctor Who was suggested for me to watch & react to by a friend. It is another sciencey show that I have never watched before. Oh look I haven't updated the description since season 2 and now we're on season 7! Lovin' it! Exciting first episode. Been 4 months since season 6 ended...sorry. Computer died, depression, existential crisis, business & new laptop/Windows 11 BS... but here we are!
